Physical Description of Kunphuzhon |
As described by some of the more aristocratic men of Kunphuzhon, "Our land is [a land] of many surprises..." And upon first glimpse of this eloquent island nation, that statement cannot be hailed as false. Centralized around a very old mountain chain - old due to its evident erosion - known as the Omah Mountains, the scenery is diversified between the extremes of a moist tropical rainforest climate to the temperate weather of a plains to the semi-aridness of the savannas. Located no more than 500 miles off the coast of the nearby powerhouse nation of Kendor and a great 5250 miles away from The Archanes (ar-kan-ees) in which Zeino is featured, our friends the Kunphuzhuaians enjoy moderate temperatures ranging from comfortably cool winters to satisfying warm weather in the summers. A heavily vegetated landmass, the Omah Mountains are the sources of 5 great rivers that feed life into all the nation. The tallest peak, standing at 5000 feet above sea level, is home to some of the world's oldest forms of worship by which the Kunphuzhuaians are easily identified.

Historical Description of Kunphuzhon |
Legends and folklore surround the histories and accounts of all Kunphuzhon's pre-Imperial endeavors. Tales of mystical knights, evil witches, and all the more irksome gods and goddesses all dictate how the people felt and dealt with many aspects of their chosen way of life. History records from Kendor, the parent nation over the Kunph tribe as they were so called, prove that Kunphuzhon was a loyal colony at the disposal of the Kendori head of state and was an active member in the trade and commissioning of the Federation of Cumber. Albeit the nation had no control over how it would govern itself, the people were noted as "proud, worthy, and dedicated souls.." by one of their Kendori governors at the height of the Federation's prosperity, influence on the world, and scholastic activity.
Now as the Federation fell, tensions arose amidst the factions supporting foreign rule and factions rebelling foreign rule. For many a year had the people been suppressed to the will of the Kendori crown, and many had unction to destroy the "hands of evil" controlling their every move. Thus it was only a few years after fate had deemed the Federation a failure that the Kunphuzhuaians engaged in Civil War. There were obvious disadvantages for the supporters of the rebellion as they were appallingly outnumbered. And Kendor's notorious Defenders of the Ring were no appeasement for the cause either. For the benefit of the rebels there had to be an outstandingly cunning and strategic general to lead the untrained souls to victory, and as they'd hope, that man came. Sir Victor de Noble, a very wise and prominent member of the anti-Kendori society, accepted the charge as General of the Kunph forces and albeit they were at a supreme disadvantage, by some unfit judge of fate the Kunphuzhuaians won their precious freedom - General de Noble was appointed the first Governor over the newly named Charterian nation, named such in honor of one of the Kunphuzhuaian gods.
Now de Noble fell sick and he had no heirs to the throne. Being that the people could not find a suitable leader just enough to fill the void left by their deceased Governor, the honor was bestowed upon the de Noble family's firstborn: Ice I. Forging alliances with many nations and attempting to begin an Empire of their own, the Kunphs lived many centuries without the slightest threat from the Cumberian Empire. It is said that the Turmen kings and part of the Helstorians had learned the fate of the well-rounded Kendori troops in the first Civil War, and thus kept heed to respecting the privacy of an much unneeded foe. But as the sixth in the lineage of Helstorians took throne, there came conflict. The social structure of Kunphuzhon had become a threat to the Cumberian Empire as the crown had put it, and there were no alternatives but war to dissolve the matter. As expected, battles commenced at sea and on land, and this time war-ravaged Kunphuzhon fell to the might of the Imperial Army and its military strategists. No sooner had the war broken out than did the people begin to rebel. Decades to centuries of warfare caused a rupture in the social fabric that held the people together - the wound grew so that even to this day the people have never again achieved full social equilibrium.
Now with the fall of the Helstorians came the rise of the Vortisquians, and the people had only began to taste the fruits of liberty before the kingly Vortisquian armies invaded their land. Not eager to lose again to a bully as the Empire had become and hearts much hardened by the hardships the people suffered under the Helstorians, the Kunphuzhuaians became bitterly belligerent with their evil overshadowers the Vortisquians. And this bitterness actually aided in keeping the armies at a safe distance for some time as technology advanced and military geniuses began to sprout up from all corners of the island.
Now as war raged on for centuries, the family lineage of both crowns had also aged. The world had already seen 15 of the Ice family perish before them discontented with the war efforts they had experienced and 7 of the Vortisquian lineage die at the driving to destroy the sworn foes the Kunphuzhuaians. Now at the time of Ice XVI and Vortisque IX, the people of both entities had grown weary of the malevolence wrought from the bowels of hatred betwixt the two, and the olive branch in the form of an international peace treaty was extended to end all warring. By this proposed plan, Kunphuzhon would be paid reparations for the damages of their beautiful landscaping by the tax of the Cumberian Imperial Government for 1 century or until the nation of Kunphuzhon was fully recovered. Naturally, the payments lasted more than 1 century; in fact, they lasted for more than 4 centuries as the Cumberian citizenry adopted a new philosophy of philanthropy.
Now the best of allies after the war, the Kunph people felt it was in their best interests to annex themselves to the extremely powerful Cumberian Empire. Under Ice XIX and Vortisque XVIII, the Cumberians celebrated as a new member, the notably ferocious warriors of the Kunphuzhuaian persuasion, were granted full rights as Cumberian citizens subject to the crown of Cumber and much more importantly, the independently ruling government of the Ice family. It was no trouble to accept these amicable people to the ring of the most powerful people as they were more of an asset. Their current fate, however, has been more than a tragedy as the lineage of Ice has been brutally replaced by that of the sworn rivals led by Soncamilasaiah, who is of relation to the line. The current sovereignty over Cumber is sworn to restore the ancient method of government by the Ice family, but due to social and mystical complications, the feat is easier said than accomplished.

Cultural and Governmental Description of the Kunphuzhuaians |
As the descendants of the military genius of Kendor, the land of Kunphuzhon forthrightly serves as a haven for scholarly activities in the arts and learning. In all of this - despite these advantages toward a great society - the people of Kunphuzhon are extremely primitive. As the Omah Mountains cover much of the terrain, the people do not have adequate methods of transportation and ideas and knowledge by communication is slow and adulterated. Now the people of Kunphuzhon are extremely peculiar; upon first glance it would seem as those the people were cats in place of humans. And this assumption would be nearly accurate as the people are of a cat-like appearance and behavior. But as these people are able to converse, think up ideas and act upon them, and philosophize, they are considered as much a human as say a Kezenobian. Centered at the beautiful fortitude of Terraphuscious, the nation of Kunphuzhon is an absolute wonder. Different forms of worship find their origin at the heights of the Omah Mountains and for many millenia, even before the foundation of the Federation, these observances have been an important part of the customs and traditions these men and women follow. An active part of this culture is the belief that a man must be ingenious to solve all of his problems independently. Reflected in their interests to improve their communication - they construct tunnels through the Omahs - these men and women are on the verge of making their society once again a fortress strong in the face of many dangers and efficient in the face of the many nations of the world. Finally, with their culture comes their absolute devotion to a comprehensive study of life and art. The elaborate and very majestic buildings that have been eagerly preserved are emblems of this belief and are prime examples to the rest of the world how far a philosophy can reach a society.
In accordance to the beliefs of the people, the Ice rulers encouraged a moderate government to regulate ideas into an organize fashion, enforce the practice of religion, and meet the demands of defense and economy. Under the Governor, since renamed the Prime Minister, the government had an appointed group of assembly men and women that dictated law unto the people at the crown's arbitrary decision. Tax was issued by the Prime Minister alone; defenses were an issue also of the head of state's jurisdiction. The body merely had the power of the alteration of a law as the chairman Prime Minister saw fit; the people had little to no say over their government although they did have the rights to freedoms of speech, press, petition, and assembly in favor of anti-government issues (the latter strictly controlled). With the removal of the Ice dynasty came the metamorphosis of the government; it finally took all powers into its hands and is now totalitarian under the direction of a supreme dictator.

Economical Description of Kunphuzhon |
Under the rule of the Ice family, Kunphuzhon was socialist to an extent. There were no markets as the government controlled all factors of production excluding land, transportation, and the individual people. The society owned the raw materials and means of producing those materials into finished products, but they were taxed for the use of land and transporting of goods. Now the society then was paid in its currency of omahs, but now under the direction of Soncamilasaiah, the government has made a few corrections. Continuing its role as the absolute control over the lives of the citizens, Kunphuzhuaian government has taken on the role of that of a communist nation in which the government owns all the factors of production, including the people. The method of payment is no longer by the means of the unvalued omah, but rather by means unknown to the rest of the world. The principle exports of the nation include vegetation and feature a great tourist industry sponsoring locations that are so exhilarating they make vistors "come back for more!" Because the land is very mountainous, it is deemed necessary that the people of Kunphuzhon, primitive to altering much of their sacred land, trade with the nations of Kendor and surprisingly Zeino.
